The 124th Annual Meeting of the KoreanOphthalmological Society



존경하는 대한안과학회 회원 여러분

국민 눈 건강을 위해 항상 최선을 다해 주시는 회원 여러분께 감사드리며, 2020년 10월 30일부터 11월 1일까지 개최되는 제124회 대한안과학회 학술대회에 기쁜 마음으로 여러분을 초대합니다. 코로나-19로 인해 불가피하게 취소했던 제123회 대한안과학회 학술대회를 뒤로 하고 1년 만에 맞이하는 학술대회이지만, 보건의료인에게 보다 강화된 사회적 거리두기 지침을 권고하는 정부 방침에 따라 이번 학술대회는 대면 발표장을 대폭 축소하고 방역지침을 준수하면서 온라인 발표를 병행하는 하이브리드 학회로 진행하고자 합니다.

새로운 형식으로 시도되는 이번 행사에서도 회원 여러분들의 학술적인 욕구를 충족시키고 회원님의 소중한 시간이 헛되지 않도록 다양한 프로그램을 준비하였습니다. ‘Keynote 세션’을 통해 대가들의 수준 높은 강의를 듣고, 기존에 호응이 좋았던 ‘Best lecture 심포지엄’과 ‘영상으로 배우는 안과 진단과 술기 심포지엄’에서 실제 진료에 도움이 될 유용한 정보를 얻으실 수 있습니다. 각 연구회에서 심도 있게 준비한 심포지엄과 전공의 교육을 위한 수련 강좌 및 International Session에서는 청중의 눈높이에 맞는 발표가 진행되고, 정책 및 미래안과세션은 안과의 현재를 돌아보고 미래를 설계하는 의미 있는 시간이 될 것입니다. 기존에 구연과 포스터로 나뉘어 있었던 발표 형식을 E구연으로 통일하고 온라인에서 골라볼 수 있는 새로운 시도를 하였습니다. 대면 발표가 진행되는 학술대회장 내에서는 충분한 거리두기와 개인위생수칙 등 정부의 방역지침을 철저히 준수해 회원 여러분의 안전을 최우선으로 생각하도록 하겠습니다.

어수선한 상황에서도 지속적으로 관심 가져 주시는 회원 여러분께 다시 한번 감사드리며, 조속히 현 상황이 안정되어 회원님의 소중한 만남이 이루어질 수 있기를 바랍니다. 시시각각 변하는 상황에 따라 제2, 제3의 대안을 마련하는 등 학술대회 준비에 시간과 노력을 아끼지 않은 학술이사 및 학술위원들과 관련 이사 그리고 학회 직원께 감사의 말씀을 전하며, 학회 임원과 직원은 회원님의 다양한 요구에 부응하는 학술대회를 만들기 위해 끊임없이 노력하겠습니다.

The 13th Joint Meeting of Korea-China-Japan Ophthalmologists



Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of Korean ophthalmologists, it is a great privilege to have an opportunity to welcome all of you to 13th Joint Meeting of Korea-China-Japan Ophthalmologists. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the 124th Annual Meeting of the Korean Ophthalmological Society at Grand Walkerhill hotel in Seoul on Oct 31st, 2020 in Seoul, Korea.

Due to global spread of COVID-19, the meeting will be held exclusively online for colleagues from China and Japan. This will help colleagues from the three nations continue to collaborate without compromising safety. Delegates can also enjoy other international sessions of KOS annual meeting.

We have had twelve meetings annually since 2008 and shared not only the new ideas and knowledges on ophthalmology but also friendship among the three nations. Our young ophthalmologists will lead Asia and the world in the field of visual science.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to colleagues and committee members of the three nation. With our effort, we can successfully accomplish academic meeting of totally new format in post-COVID era.

On behalf of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society and the Chinese Committee of the Joint Meeting 2020, it is my great honor and pleasure to invite you to attend the 13th Joint Virtual Meeting of Korean-Chinese-Japanese Ophthalmologists, which will be held during 09:00-12:00 on October 31, 2020.

The Joint Meeting, initiated twelve years ago by the Chinese Ophthalmological Society (COS), the Japanese Ophthalmological Society (JOS) and the Korean Ophthalmological Society (KOS), has been playing a significant role in ophthalmology and visual science. It aims to promote mutual understanding and friendship, building a cooperation platform to jointly promote the development and prosperity of Asian ophthalmology.

This year, the Joint Meeting will be held in conjunction with the 124th Annual Meeting of Korean Ophthalmological Society, and KOS is making all efforts in preparing this special meeting under the challenging situation of COVID-19. The Joint Virtual Meeting will open a new way for scientific exchange.

We ensure to bring you a fruitful and memorable meeting which you cannot afford to miss. The organization committee will welcome your active participation for the Joint Virtual Meeting 2020.

As the Secretary General of the Joint Meeting of Chinese-Japanese-Korean Ophthalmologists, it is my great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 13th Joint Meeting of Korean-Chinese-Japanese Ophthalmologists, which will be held online 09:00-12:00 on October 31, 2020 Saturday.

This is new experience for us to organize our Joint Meeting as virtual meeting. Although this is our alternative solution due to the COVID-19, we are in fact expecting our Joint Meeting 2020 to be a very special and remarkable one. And we warmly invite you to witness this extraordinary meeting together with us.

The Joint Meeting of Chinese-Japanese-Korean Ophthalmologists, which is positioning as a platform for ophthalmologists to exchange the most important developments in ophthalmology innovations, trends, practice and research, is organized by joint efforts from the Chinese Ophthalmological Society (COS), the Japanese Ophthalmological Society (JOS) and the Korean Ophthalmological Society (KOS). Our Joint Meeting is held annually in turn in China, Japan and Korea since the year of 2008, and it provides excellent opportunity for opthalmologists especially young opthalmologists to learn and share the latest technologies and experience, and to foster their leadership for eye care in the future.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Japanese ophthalmologists and the members of organizing committee of this Joint Meeting, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 13th Joint Meeting of Three Nation Ophthalmologists in Seoul. We also appreciate organizing committee of Korea for the work to organize a comprehensive joint meeting.

Because of global spread of COVID19 infections, this joint meeting will be held a hybrid style in Seoul and online. Although we are very sorry that we cannot visit Grand Walkerhill hotel, we are looking forward to participating online meeting and lively discussion.

As you know, this meeting aims at mutual understandings, collaboration, and communication for the scientific and clinical fields of ophthalmology in each country. It is a special occasion to share the important achievements specific for East Asian ophthalmologists. We believe that our collaboration will be become more valuable and essential.

We would like to extend our gratitude to colleagues and organizing committee of each nation who support of joint meeting in COVID19 era.
